Todd D. Sykes | Business Development
DBIA, LEED AP BD+C and O+M
Todd Sykes is leading business development activities at E2i . Todd has over a decade of construction project management experience, including LEED consulting. He is a LEED-accredited professional thru the US Green Building Council with specialties in Building Design + Construction and Operations + Maintenance and is also a designated design-build professional thru the Design-Build Institute of America. He holds an undergraduate degree in construction management from Michigan State University and is pursuing a graduate degree in civil and environmental engineering from Wayne State University.
Carol Jean Miller | Founder
Dr. Miller is a Professor, Wayne State University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Principal Investigator for the project that has created this environmentally responsive electricity tool. Dr. Miller is the previous Chair of the State of Michigan Board of Licensing for Professional Engineers and the current U.S. Chair of the bi-national Great Lakes Science Advisory Board of the International Joint Commission. Her research has been funded by numerous agencies including the Great Lakes Protection Fund (sponsoring the present project), US Army Corps of Engineers, National Science Foundation, US EPA, DTE Energy, the Great Lakes Commission, and others.
Loch McCabe | Founder
Loch McCabe is President of Shepherd Advisors, a firm that works with companies and organizations to research, strategize and implement go-to-market and go-to-customer strategies and action plans. Loch has successfully led market- and customer-driven growth strategy engagements for over 20 years. Loch focuses on growth strategy, market development and partnership building. He has a knack for understanding stories, recognizing opportunities, developing pathways, and working with others to overcome obstacles and secure needed resources. He backs up his instincts and enthusiasm with methodologies, analysis and due diligence that fosters clearer thinking and action.
Stephen S. Miller | Founder
Stephen Miller, founder, provides deep electric grid expertise and data, and has been a key architect of the design of Wayne State’s LEEM technology. A member of Commonwealth Associates, Stephen helped Wayne State successfully integrate Commonwealth's proprietary algorithms that uniquely allow disparate data sources to be related to produce granular and actionable results. Stephen is a registered professional engineer with over 30 years experience working on electrical grid challenges for utilities and electric generators nationwide.
Guoyao Xu | Director of IT
Guoyao Xu is the Director of IT for this project, and a Ph.D candidate of Wayne State University Computer Engineering Department. He leads the design, implementation, development and maintenance of the architecture, system and sever of LEEM big data platform. He also conducts related data analytics, web and mobile production. Guoyao has over 6+ years solid technique experiences in software development, large-scale distributed system research and implementation, data analytics/science and AI algorithms. He brings a solid sense for business combined with strong research interests in resource management and performance optimization of large-scale big data distributed system, cloud computing, parallel computing and sustainable computing.
